He entered off...Well, at least he's consistent. He entered office thinking that a facade of bipartisan judiciousness would pay dividends, and he's leaving the same way. Of course, in that time he has achieved virtually nothing, the Democratic Party's support and control of nationwide elective offices have collapsed, and the Republicans have moved so far right ideology takes precedence over competence and democratic norms. But why should a few little things like those make him change strategy?<br /><br />As Clinton tried to remind us in this election cycle, temperament matters. And twice now, undemocratic processes have overturned what should've been her victories over people with worse temperaments. Trump is all fight, no brain. Obama has been all brain, no fight.
