Putz - updated

We're separating the woman from the boys. From the Times this morning on Bernie's post-defeat speech:
"At almost every turn, he was grudging toward Mrs. Clinton, passing up a chance to issue the kind of lengthy salute that many, in and out of the Democratic Party, had expected and craved.
"'It’s a blown opportunity to build bridges that are going to be extremely important in the fall,' said David Gergen, an adviser to four presidents, both Democratic and Republican. He worried that Mr. Sanders was becoming 'a grumpy old man.'"
This guy is so unready for prime time.

Update: This portrait of the man is devastating -- and very depressing. He's effectively a Trump ally.

Update 2: More grist on the hypocrite of Vermont. And this was before he got creamed last night.

I've said it all along ... he and his supporters are not Democrats ...

HRC will take the high-road, absorb all the nonsense and keep chugging along with a focus on the big picture. I don't know how they do it -- but it is what the Clintons do.

But this matters:

The pivot was last week's speech in San Diego. It's only going to build from here. Bernie the Putz will continue to throw his hissy fit, and that'll attract media attention, but most of that attention, it's already clear, will be negative toward Bernie. In the real battle, Trump is increasingly burnt toast. Did you see Hugh Hewitt, of all people, on MSNBC last night?

This is going to be a wave election. And it has to be. At the very least, the Dems have to pick up six, not four seats in the Senate, because Bernie will not be a reliable ally.

So totally agree with you. 100%. As you pointed out, that was the turning point. The pivot was the San Diego speech. HRC crushed Trump and she did it so powerfully that it caused a chain reaction of three things: 1) Trump was hit so hard he had no response -- still waiting, 2) The media finally woke up and said the way to deal with Trump is to use his own words against him -- that is how this terrible thing with the judge mushroomed, and 3) The butt kicking was so profound that it opened the door for Republicans to criticize and withdraw support for Trump.

Also agree -- Bernie is only making himself look like a fool. HRC has moved on and has other things to think about. And what ever he does won't hurt her because, well, the vast majority of hardcore Bernie supporters (the ones who are still in it) are not Democrats anyway.

I did see Hugh Hewitt on MSNBC. Unbelievable!

It is HRC's world now ... there is no formidable or credible opposition ... she is her own wave ... !
